My artwork takes both a scientific and magical view of the beauty found in nature and the cosmos. I take inspiration from stories of folklore and mythology, science, natural phenomena, and the sublime. The underlining messages of many of my artworks aim to embrace the childlike spirit, sense of wonder and hope. I comment on themes of growing up, death and rebirth, metamorphosis, and how every living thing in nature is connected to each other through invisible forces. In a time dominated by technology and individualism, I want my paintings to serve as a reminder of the pull that our beautiful organic Earth has on all of us.
